Community Relations - be involved in the community you live in and raise public awareness about members' contribute to their communities. Meets quarterly at a minimum.

Finance Committee - (restricted to Realtor® members) assists association staff in the development of the SAR annual budget and monitors financials throughout the year. Meets quarterly at a minimum.

Governmental Affairs - if you're interested in staying on top of local and state policy that impacts members, this is the committee for you. Governmental Affairs coordinates local candidate interviews on housing and real estate issues. They work with the RPAC committee to identify and recommend support for candidates that support housing and Realtor® issues; and keep members updated on legislative issues at the state house that may harm real estate and Realtor® business practices. Committee meets as needed.

Grievance Committee - (restricted to Realtor® members)is the first step in the Code of Ethics process. They review ethics and arbitration complaints to determine whether they are sent forward to a hearing panel. At the end of the three-year term, this position automatically rotates up for a three-year term on the Professional Standards Committee. Meets as needed and for work sessions with the Professional Standards Committee.

Risk Management - is responsible for SAR standard forms and contracts as well as educating members on understanding and following equal service guidelines and other liability risks. Committee meets as needed.

RPAC Committee - needs creative and energetic members to plan fundraising events and achieve SAR's RPAC goals. The RPAC Committee works closely with Governmental Affairs during local candidate interviews and updates members on state and local advocacy efforts and the impact RPAC dollars have on Realtor® issues.

YPN (Young Professionals Network) - Don't be fooled by the name! It's not about age it's about networking, education and helping members newer to the real estate industry get up to speed and involved in the association. Meets quarterly at a minimum. 

SAR 100 Anniversary Celebration Committee - 2020 is the 100th year of the Sunflower Association of REALTORS®, Inc. What kind of ideas do you have to mark this special event throughout the year?

SAR Task Force or Special Event - Not ready for a full committee commitment? Serve on a special event or task force when needed.
